Ice Box Cookies

• 3 cups white sugar
• 1 cup brown sugar
• 2 cups shortening - use 1/2 butter if desired
  
• 3 eggs beaten
• 4 cups sifted flour
• 2 tsp baking powder
• 1 tsp soda
• 1/2 tsp salt
• 1 1/2 tsp vanilla

Mix ingredients together. Chill.
